Racism should never have happened and so you don't get a cookie for reducing it. 👩🏾‍🦱 Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a Nigerian author, phenomenal speaker, and outspoken feminist. She has received numerous awards for her writing. Many of her works are set in Nigeria and some focus on the Nigeria-Biafra war. Her novel Half a Yellow Sun was made into a movie and her TEDx talk was featured in Beyonce’s song, “Flawless”. If you want to expand your thinking, she’s definitely the writer you want to read and the speaker you want to hear. The quote above is from her book Americanah.

The “Quotes to Live By” series was originally posted to my Instagram in 2019. Due to the original medium, these posts are fairly short and not meant to be exhausted biographies.
