Mars Lives

Red,

Speckled and shining 

Far in the sky

A tiny speck,

A disillusion of mass

Greater than we see--

It twinkles, like a star

And someone may be watching

Looking back at me

At a blue speck,

Second star to the right

On 'til morning,

When beauty fades.
