I don't want to thank you today
For yesterday's best effort,
Or for last year's sacrifice.
I don't want to tell you I care
Just this once, for occasion
And never say it again...
There are no days off
Not a fleeting moment
When you are not there,
And it stands to reason
My word of appreciation
Should never end.
The world may take one day
To highlight your beauty
To showcase your unconditional love,
