Breathing In
There's pain in this cavity
where my heart use to beat...
a hologram, an empty shell--
The remnants and pieces left to tell
the memories of us, of how we fell.
And in my mind a smiling face--
A charming gentleman of poise and grace--
the other half of this loving embrace...
gone away, while days pass by.
The ache of distance in each sigh,
Manifests in these droplets pooling in my eye....
The world has stopped
but the days still pass
And time creeps on
an hour, for eternity lasts...
I wonder how this happened,
it happened so fast.
