When the Sun Rises
Out of my window, I see light break the shadow
Colors burst across the sky
A show of light entertaining my eye;
Gone away the cloud's endless white
The battle scars of the colors' fight
Stain the clouds if only for a while
To bring me the joys of a smile.
And though I know they'll soon pass away
I wish in vain for the colors to stay--
Break from mundane, oh beautiful skies in my window pane.
