Seth

Seth is the third son of Adam and Eve and an ancestor of Noah (i.e., we're all descended from Seth). With Abel dead and Cain in exile for murder, Seth inherited the promise of God to save mankind; it is through his progeny that we find Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Judah, David, and finally Jesus.

    Introduction

Seth is the third son of Adam and Eve. Born after Cain killed Abel it is likely he never met either of his older brothers—obviously, Abel was already dead, but with Cain banished it is unlikely (though no impossible) the two ever crossed paths. Seth lives to be 912 years old.

We are not told anything about Seth's personality or actions. Our best understanding of Seth is given in Eve's, declaration that he is a replacement for Abel, which implies he was faithful to God like Abel.
