In the Bible, patriarchs of families took the time to speak prophecies of greatness (or disaster) over their children and each of these prophecies came true. T…

Fruit of the Spirit: Faithfulness feat. Gramps
Hebrews 11 is a perfect description of faith, but faith is something that you have to grow into--it's personal. Since faith comes from experience and wisdom, I asked my grandfather to join me in discussing this important Fruit of the Spirit.
About my grandfather:
My grandfather is a retired musician and a minister in the United Methodist Church. He serves as a chaplain in various organizations and preaches from time to time.

Sarah / Sarai
Sarah is the wife of Abraham and the mother of Isaac. Like many women today,
Sarah struggled with infertility. In her old age, God promised to give her a
son. Initially, she didn't believe it was possible—she even
laughed—but God proved her wrong by blessing her with a son at the age
of 90.

Isaac
Isaac was the promised child of Abraham and Sarah, born to them in their old
age. He is also the younger half-brother of Ishmael. It is through him we get
both the nations of Edom and Israel. Isaac is one of the first people of the
Bible for whom we get to see details of his emotions (Genesis 24:67).

Genesis 11-23: Abraham, Father of Many Nations and the Destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah
This is the story of Abraham and the covenant made between him and God.
Introduction
Photocredit: FreeImages/ danjaeger This page tries to cover too much information. At some point, I will break it in to smaller pieces to dive deeper into the many facets of Abraham and Lot’s complicated stories. Abram, whose name is later changed to Abraham, is known as the father of many
nations. It is through him that one of the most important covenants …
