Storm of Life
Waxing and waning
Coming and going--
They rain down their terror
Disrupt our thoughts
Wreak havoc on our stability
Plunge us in to the filth
Of darkness and irrelevance
Then leave us to weep in silence,
Come back to the place
We once loved and cherished,
Pay homage to its destruction,
Bow to something stronger
As we wait for the next tragedy
Ignoring the beauty--
The awe striking majesty
Of some powerful display
Hauntingly perfect,
Hauntingly complete.
